Final event

March 24th 2010: finals event 'The Fresh Connection'
Since February 1st 2010 more than 200 supply chain professionals throughout Belgium are taking part in the learning programme The Fresh Connection. Every week, their teams take part in this spectacular and very competitive internet game. They are offfered the assignments, information and choices through the internet. The game takes seven weeks, each week representing six months in reality.

Each team take care of strategic and tactical choices. The intelligent software behind the game calculates the consequences for the operation every week. The results (of the different teams’ choice) form the starting point for the following week.
 
Final Event
The competition finals will take place on March 24th. All 62 teams will be invited to the Supply Chain World Event in Brussels Expo to play the final rounds of ‘The Fresh Connection’. In parallel, several supply chain management opinion leaders will give a presentation and various workshops on supply chain management will take place.

At the end of the day the public (the teams as well as the visitors to the Event) will vote for the public prize winner. Later that evening, it will be announced who can call themselves the ‘Best Supply Chain Team of the Year’ during the exclusive evening dinner.
 
Exclusive dinner
 
The professional team that may call themselves ' Best Supply Chain Team of 2010' will be announced during the exclusive dinner that takes place in the Event Lounge in Brussel on March 24th.
 
That evening promises to be an interesting networking event for the supply chain professionals and decision makers from the Belgian industry.
 
Beside a musical performance by Daan, a qualitative programme with inspiring guest speakers will be provided as well:
 
  • Philippe Haspeslagh, professor and dean of Vlerick Leuven Ghent Management School, will explain  the importance of a clear business strategy and the challenge of keeping on track.
     
  • Captain of industry Peter  Heller, ex-CED Ford Genk, will explain his view on the role of supply chain management and offer the award to the 'Best Supply Chian Team of 2010'.
 
Location
 
The final competition will take place in Hall 2 of Brussels Expo from 8.30 a.m. until 6.30 p.m. on March 24th.

The exclusive dinner and the award ceremony for 'Best Supply Chain Team of 2010' will take place in the Event Lounge from 6.30 p.m. onwards on March 24th.
